Course 6: RPO Hot Screens & Shovel Pass in the Shotgun Wing-T

Coach Mathieson tells us what his QB wasn’t doing that made him use more hot screens to gain some significant yardage and run the offense at full capacity. Coach Mathieson will also show us some helpful foot work for the receivers. The QB also gets some footwork tips with “punch, plant throw.

Coach Mathieson also breaks down “51 fox vs 52 fox vs 53 fox” calls as well as details all the assignments.

Coach Mathieson also covers hot screens to the split end, slot receiver and half back. And he also talks about the “shovel pass”, that he calls “53 away.

And find out how coach Mathieson incorporates the “shovel pass” into his swing screen option.

Course 7: Using Quick Screens as RPOs in Shotgun Wing T

Everyone in the nation is running RPOs
off the Inside and Outside Zone Run Game
Is there another way to run RPOs?
Can you run RPOs off the Wing T Gap Blocking Schemes?
YES YOU CAN

Coach Mathieson shows how he runs Quick, or Now Screens off the Wing T Buck and Power run plays

Then he shows his Middle, or Tunnel Screens off those same two plays

He wraps it up with his Running Back directional screens which are not RPOs but there is a pre-snap read as to whether run the Stick Concepts or throw the screen to the RB

Coach Mathieson’s simple terminology allows you to run this out of many different formations (1 or 2 back, 2×2, Trips, Tight End sets, or Empty)

His examples are Buck & Power, but you could run these screens off any of the Wing T running plays
