Course 7: Hot Screens & Shovel

Coach Mathieson tells us what his QB wasn’t doing that made him use more hot/now screens to gain some significant yardage and run the offense at full capacity. Coach will also show us some helpful foot work for the receivers and the QB, depending on whether you are throwing to your throwing arm side or away from your throwing arm side of the formation.

Course 8: Quick, Tunnel, Directional Screens

Coach Mathieson shows how he runs WR QUICK Screen off of the Buck Sweep and Power run plays!

Then he shows his MIDDLE SCREEN, or Tunnel Screen, INCLUDING how to make it a dual read play!

He wraps it up with his HB DIRECTIONAL SCREEN, INCLUDING how to make it a dual read play as well!

Course 9: Quick Passing Game

This video series focuses on the quick passing game.  The Quick Game Series is our basic short passing game combining short drops by the QB with quick routes by the WR.  Routes are based on timing.  The Quick Game Series can keep the H Back involved in protection and or release him into the route scheme.  Coach Mathieson uses a traditional progression read in operating his quick game in order to accelerate the decision making process of the QB as he works from one read to the second and so on.  Coach covers the basic principles of the quick game as well as player(s) tags in order to maximize its effectivenss on game night.

Course 11: Intermediate Passing Game

LEFT COAST SPREAD / WING-T SYSTEM

Multiple Formation, Gap Blocking, Quick Passing, PAP / Screen team that uses multiple Tempos

The Intermediate Passing Series is our deeper passing game combining deeper drops by the QB with deeper routes by the WR. Routes are designed to hit for medium to long gains.

Adding these FOUR concepts to the system improved the passing game from 1500 to over 3000 yards per season

Coach applies traditional Progression reading to all 4 Concepts.

“I bought the whole set of 4-2-5 Gang Green DVD’s and it was one of the best one’s I have ever seen. Great presentation and the DVDs were very easy to follow. Rick also responded to my email when I had a question. Definitely worth the money spent!” –Scott Mathenia, Dumbarton School, Baltimore Maryland
