This course focuses on streamlining defensive terminology and structure to help players play fast and eliminate mental errors. Drawing from years of experience at Raritan High School, coach Petruzzi explains how modular teaching units allow defenses to adapt between odd and even fronts, while still maintaining core principles of gap control, leverage, and force. Highlighting the importance of starting with man coverage principles, teaching condensed alignments early, and using bracket concepts like the “Bermuda Triangle” to handle bunch sets.
