The ISO has it’s roots in the “I” formation, developed at Virginia Military Institute in the 1940’s.


Multiple lead blocker choices: center, guard, tackle, wing, running back can all be lead blockers.

Multiple formations, multiple ball carriers that disguise your other plays and induce beneficial LB reaction.
